Finished wrapping, stitching and heating the Fosshape on most of Medusa’s tail. What a job! My sewing friends will be horrified at my stitching job as it reminds me of Sally from The Nightmare before Christmas! But don’t worry, this part will NEVER show as it is all internal.

As I wrapped small sections to accommodate the curves of the tail, I discovered this sacrifices the strength and integrity of the form as far as using the Fosshape to make it free standing. It does give it a better foundation to crochet around instead of quilt batting. It’s more secure, but not for making it free standing. Maybe the thicker weight Fosshape may work better. It comes in three weights and I’m using the lightest weight. Today, I have enough of the tail done to start to crochet!
