Sorry for the delay in posting. My laptop crashed! I have my iPad but is proving to be more challenging that I want it to be.

Today was a very special day as far as sweaters go. I have been wanting a handmade, Icelandic sweater for many years. I could have ordered one online and had it shipped, but…I wanted mine to have more meaning than that. Being a fiber artist, I respect all fiber arts, especially the skill and time that goes into making a sweater. I wanted to come here personally and pick it out and to possibly meet or get to know the person who made the sweater I picked. Coming to Iceland, (bucket list…check) and to get a sweater (or two) was icing on top! Not only did I get two sweaters, but I also know both of the amazing women who made them. Medusa is also coming along. I began working on her torso section with lightning speed. (I wish!). I’m using very thin yarn and a small crochet hook (2mm) so it is tedious and slow moving, but still faster than the two weeks it took to create her tail!
