Medusa’s face is coming along. I think I should be able to complete it today! This part is also a little slow going. I use the foam face and straight pins to keep the yarn in place as I sculpt around the head. I decrease and increase stitches to match the elevations on her face. Once I get farther along on the form, I can remove all of the pins. After I complete her face, I’ll give her a mouth and eyes!
I’m still debating a little on her eyes. Since this is where her magic lies..in her glance, I want to make her eyes piercing and exciting. If you could look at Medusa’s eyes and not turn to stone, what would they look like? What color would they be? Would they look like typical eyes? Would they be snake eyes? I’m still pondering this a bit.
I have to report that I did the COLD PLUNGE at the pool! Twice!! I’m a warrior! It was very shocking and took my breathe away. But the painful part wasn’t the cold water, it was after getting back into the hot tub. It gave painful tingles all over my body. Especially my legs. Was a very strange sensation. Three of us went and did it together. The cold plunge is 5 degree celsius/41 degrees Fahrenheit. We were all cheering each other on and giggling like school girls. I think the locals thought we were a bit silly. Lol.
I also taught another artist here to crochet! I wasn’t sure anyone would want to learn since everyone is so busy in their work. I love to teach people to crochet. She was a good student and I have another one lined up for later this week. So I’m spreading crochet out into the world. <3
